This week we were excited to be learning a bit about Te Rehutai,
the Team New Zealand AC 75 that has been sailing in the Waitemata Harbour.
Here is my information.
Peter Burling- he was the skipper of the boat.
AC75-75ft long.
22.8 meters long.
Beam-5.4 meters long.
Draft-5m (16.5ft).
These boats can go 50 knots (92 km per hour).
weight-1.2-1.5 tonnes.
Beam + foils: 15m (49ft).
Kia ora Kheean, hasn't it been awesome to watch Te Rehutai take out the America's Cup racing?! I really enjoyed reading your blog and learning more about our amazing America's Cup boat. I wonder if she only weights between 1.2-1.5 tonnes? I think our boat is heavier than that. You might want to check that fact.
